Healthy growth and fewer diseases

The good news right from the start: saving water – and protecting this valuable resource with it – is not difficult at all. In the garden, this is achieved through efficient irrigation. Compared to conventional irrigation, up to 70 percent of water can be saved by clever watering and giving the plant exactly the right amount of water that it needs. It is supplied optimally, not too much or too little of this precious resource. Your garden will thank you with better harvest, a healthy growth and fewer diseases – that's the wonderful result of clever watering for the plants.
So gardeners benefit in many ways: They are helping the environment and their plants. And even more than that, with the right irrigation they are saving time.

Comfortable solutions

Clever irrigation solutions supply plants individually, improve crops, save lots of water and are easy to operate, especially with the app. A new e-book entitled “Clever watering” is available free of charge at media-gardena.com. It offers the reader practical advice on irrigation solutions for different plants, from the ornamental garden to the vegetable garden; with expert tips for gardening in the city to the maintain a healthy lawn.

Clever watering in four comfort levels

If you want a beautiful garden with healthy plants, you cannot help worrying about the right, precisely dosed irrigation. The smart first step there: drip irrigation. It supplies the plants precisely – drop by drop.

Comfort Level 2: It takes a lot of time to do justice to the different water needs of each individual plant in the garden. Because irrigation is not just about getting the right amount of water, but also about giving it to the plants at the right time and at the right intervals. The automatic irrigation control does just that. This makes clever irrigation even more efficient.

Comfort level 3: Climate and weather play an important role in irrigation. If the soil in your garden is too dry, you may also have to water more than planned. If it is wet enough, you can save the irrigation. This is where the soil moisture sensor helps – and makes irrigation even smarter.

Comfort level 4: We water our garden – even when we are not at home. At the same time, we also have the garden lighting and the robotic lawnmower in view. Garden maintenance can be optimized in the smart garden, controlled by the app – and perfect the clever watering process.
