Compatible with any standard rainwater tank, the GARDENA AquaReserve accessories allow garden owners to upgrade existing rainwater collection systems as their needs evolve.
Whether it’s flower beds, vegetable beds, hedges, or lawns, gardens cannot thrive without enough water. Whilst the most convenient source of water for garden irrigation is tap water, rainwater is more cost-effective, softer and more tolerable for plants.
Many gardens already have a water barrel or rainwater tank. Nevertheless, irrigation can still involve laborious, manual methods such as carrying heavy watering cans.
Make everyday watering easier
The new GARDENA AquaReserve accessories are designed to make using stored rainwater easier and more convenient. Compatible with any rainwater tank with a minimum diameter of 40 centimetres, the modular approach of the range allows users to expand their rainwater tank system step by step and choose the level of convenience that best suits their needs – from faster watering can-filling to irrigation with a hose and automated watering.
The GARDENA AquaReserve Tap is designed to be mounted onto the side of a rainwater tank. For garden owners looking for a convenient way to make better use of collected rainwater, it features a lever that opens for a strong flow of water, making it quick and easy to fill watering cans comfortably for everyday garden tasks.
To enable convenient irrigation with a hose straight from the rainwater tank, an optional battery-powered pump can be installed inside the water barrel and connected to the tap.
For added ease of use, garden users can automate watering with the GARDENA AquaReserve DuoTap Automatic. Connected to the pump, the tap enables integrated irrigation control with two outlets. The upper outlet can be used for connecting a hose, whilst the lower outlet allows for automatic irrigation; for example, connect to the GARDENA Micro-Drip-System for precise drip irrigation. The result is a system that takes collected rainwater directly to where the plants can best absorb it – at the root, drop by drop.
Irrigation schedules can be automated from one of 14 preset irrigation programs – reducing manual effort and helping to ensure plants are taken care of even when the owners are away. At the touch of a button, the start of watering can be postponed, for example, to cooler early morning hours. A handy child lock prevents unintentional adjustment of the settings.
To further advance the system, garden owners can combine the DuoTap Automatic with a soil moisture sensor that measures the soil moisture and skips unnecessary scheduled irrigation.
Flexible sets that harness the power of rainwater
Watering with collected rainwater is simplified further with two GARDENA AquaReserve sets. Both include the AquaReserve Battery Pump 2400 Automatic and the AquaReserve Connection Set, with one of two taps for different needs.
The AquaReserve Battery Watering Easy Set includes the AquaReserve Tap for a simple interface between a rainwater tank and watering devices such as hoses and sprayers attached.
For more automated gardens, the AquaReserve Battery Automatic Irrigation Set includes the AquaReserve DuoTap Automatic, enabling automated irrigation schedules.
