For thicker branches, cut at the point where the branch meets the trunk – leaving enough space so that the trunk is not damaged and cracks do not form.

A well-shaped hedge and an attractive tree crown can make all the difference to the overall impression of the garden. The trick is this: the upper section should be narrower than the lower section.
