Once the winter hibernation has come to an end, the warmer temperatures signal that it must be time for the annual spring clean. It’s important to use this opportunity to take stock now that the gardening season is about to begin again. Which plants and pots have survived the winter? What cleaning is required to remove all evidence of the winter weather? Conservatories, blinds, garden furniture, patios, balconies, and garden paths are usually prime candidates in need of closer inspection. Gardena is here to help with its new power tools and updated Cleansystem.

Clean with the power of water
The last remnants of rain and snow can’t hide from the spring sunshine. The dirt needs to be removed from windows, conservatories, and blinds to clear the view. This is where the water carrying Cleansystem comes into its own. The range features hand brushes suitable for smaller surfaces. For areas that are larger or harder to reach, the handles with matching attachment brushes are the perfect solution. The hand brushes and handles can be connected directly to the hose with a click. Long gone are the days of struggling with a heavy bucket full of water. The flow can be adjusted with full flexibility to ensure that there is always enough power and water for the task at hand. Cleaning tabs or soap sticks can be added to tackle the dirtiest surfaces. The soap sticks can be added with a hand brush or scrubbing brush, while cleaning tabs are designed to be used with handle attachments.

The Cleansystem has been updated for the new season, with clever attachments being added to the range to tackle even more cleaning tasks. The range of handle and hand brushes now includes everything from dependable all-rounders like the handle brush in hard and soft versions to specialist tools like the Window Cleaner with wiper and the new Blind Brush. The design and layout of the bristles on the Blind Brush make it easy to remove dirt and dust from C- and Z-shaped slats outside. The Bike Brush is another new addition that can be used to give bikes the first full – and gentle – clean of the year.

Garage doors, railings and greenhouses will be grateful for a spring clean too. And there’s often plenty of algae and other green coatings to be removed from patios, cellar steps and garden paths. All those different surfaces that have to be cleaned in specific ways – and often with a lot of hard manual labour – suddenly become a breeze. The new Battery Multi Cleaner AquaBrush also relies on water, brushes and gentle yet effective power. The water nozzles loosen the dirt, making it easier to clean away with the right attachments for the surface in one simple step. The modular design of this new tool allows it to be used vertically and horizontally, on sensitive surfaces like decking, on narrow areas like steps, on garden furniture and on privacy screening elements.

Precise, effective, convenient
For the finishing touch, moss and debris need to be removed from patios, garden paths and driveways. Gardeners usually end up on their knees for hours, scraping in between the gaps. But now they can clear these areas to perfection with minimal effort thanks to the new Battery Weed Brush. There’s no need for chemicals or a large flame, which is good news for the surfaces being cleared and the environment.

One battery, so many uses
There might be a lot to do at this time of year, but battery-powered brushes take the hard work out of spring cleaning. As part of the Power for All Alliance1, these power tools are also clever and effective. The 18-volt system battery is compatible with many other garden tools in the GARDENA range as well as more than 100 products from other brands that can be used for more than 100 different jobs around the house and garden. This is a sustainable solution that also saves money and space.
